11 Apr Kappa Data weekend: Barbie & Ken in the Ardennes
What an incredible time it was during our recent Kappa Data Weekend in the picturesque Ardennes! This event, which was a collaboration of both Kappa Data and Kappa Data Netherlands, proved to be an unforgettable experience.
The weekend got off to a sparkling start as our colleagues embraced the sporty Barbie & Ken theme with flair, paving the way for an enthusiastic atmosphere that lasted throughout the evening.
The excitement began at the Kappa Data office, where we had to solve puzzles that eventually revealed (for some longer than others…) our destination: the beautiful Ardennes. Once there, we lost no time and started with great food, “who can say no to: spaghetti” and a fantastic party on the first evening, setting the tone for the weekend….
Day two was full of exciting activities that kept everyone on their toes. From the nerve-wracking challenge of dismantling a bomb through puzzles to the competitive Western Games, the spirit of friendship and fun was palpable even though it rained and hailed like hell! In the end, the red team won. Congratulations to them for taking a photo even in the hail.
As the sun set, we gathered for a delicious BBQ feast, courtesy of Raphael & Frédéric. We enjoyed delicious food (even vegan 😉 ) and reminisced about the fun we had already had. The evening ended with the first-ever Kappa Data Quiz, where we tested our knowledge and humour in a friendly competition.
There were good laughs throughout the weekend, while we felt connected through shared activities and created lasting memories. We are already looking forward to the next set of activities and eagerly await the opportunity to meet again.
We want to give a big round of applause to our wonderful fest committee for their dedication and planning, which made this weekend’s festivities run smoothly. Their hard work and dedication really made this event unforgettable. Thank you Lisa, Quincy, Lotte, Tom, Chaline and Jolien.
