Discover the new and improved Barracuda Email Threat Scanner

Barracuda is launching a completely revised version of the Barracuda Email Threat Scanner. This is a free tool that uses AI to detect email threats that have passed through the email gateway of companies.

These include highly targeted attacks such as spearphishing, business email compromise (BEC), taking over email conversations and mimicking services.

Each scan provides a report on the threats found, as well as the email domains and employees at risk.

This information helps organisations to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in existing email security.

What’s New?

• Scan preview page, allows users to track the progress of their scan as it is performed;
• Real-time overview of initial results as Email Threat Scanner continues to scan mailboxes and detect threats;
• Enhanced dashboard reporting of detected threats, making it easier to zoom in and interpret specific findings;
• A 14-day free trial of Barracuda Sentinel can now be launched directly from the scanner, allowing customers to experience the benefits of continuous protection.

In 2020, 4,550 organisations around the world used Barracuda Email Threat Scanner to scan 2,600,531 mailboxes, detecting 2,029,413 threats. An average of 512 threats were found per organisation and at least one threat was found in one in seven mailboxes (14%), even when messages were scanned by an email gateway solution.
